When Rosie Duffield is in on it I think we can safely say the anti-phone campaign in Brianna's name is actively at odds with tackling transphobia

Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …

Islamaphobes will henceforth be called "Islam Critical ".

Same tactic used against trans people being played against Muslims.

Far-Right extremism is running rampant through the UK judicial system.

"How can strangers in government possibly claim to know better than the parents who love their children, and the highly-trained health professionals who have cared for them with expertise and compassion?"

Question for Wes Streeting, who thinks he does know better. www.sbs.com.au/news/article...

'The artist known as Zack Polanski must be stopped, stopped from holding me in his big strong arms and kissing me on my forehead as he tucks me in for the night, his twinkling eyes promising happiness in the years to come'

The right have got a big ol' crush and it's making them get all Twilighty.
Are the right ok?

This is next level of "journalistic* " slop.

Shame that he is incapable of condemning transphobia in the same way, in fact he is a major part of the problem. I don't trust him an inch.

We are on a list with 5 nations in Europe wherein its functionally not possible to achieve legal gender recognition
The others are Russia, Hungary, Georgia And Bulgaria.

Its astonishingly grim stuff.

Am attending closed sessions at the ILGA-Europe LGBT+ conference in Vilnius with civil society leaders from the bad boy states of Hungary, Turkey and Albania.

That's the company we keep because of our shamefully bigoted stance towards trans people. Thank Labour for flashing its ankle at fascism.

It is actually fairly unhinged that this is happening in the UK. We are such freaks, like it’s actually embarrassing

There’s no solidarity quite like that between client journalists, the government and their billionaire backers. It’s all one big club.

This so-called “journalist” called for me — a British MP — to be deported because I’m Muslim.

Yet somehow he’s the victim. Cry me a river.

That the murder of Brianna Ghey has been so completely co-opted by the "ban kids from using phones" brigade sickens me to my fucking core. Whatever her killers were looking at it's undeniable that the landslide of transphobic propaganda in the media played a crucial role in their choice of victim.

Starmer has just ended, by dictatorial fiat, a harm-reduction policy that protected minority groups dating back to the murder of Stephen Lawrence, because he hates trans people.
1993: Stephen Lawrence is murdered by racists.
1999: The MacPherson Inquiry recommends recording of non-crime hate incidents.
2005: After the Discrimination Law Review, non-crime hate incidents begin being recorded by UK police.
2025: Mainstream transphobia ends a harm reduction policy that worked.
Met Police says it will no longer investigate non-crime hate incidents
The move comes as an investigation into Father Ted creator Graham Linehan is dropped, after his arrest over a post on X.

Would be nice to have a Government that doesn't take its instruction from the Sun, the Daily Mail and the Telegraph.

If Labour were smart, they'd say "We have a big majority! Ooh! I know! True PR would put us, the Lib Dems and the Greens 10 points ahead of Reform. It would then be up to the Tories to admit they're the minor party to put them in power! Would they dare embarrass themselves?"

But they aren't smart.

The @newsagents.bsky.social framed the ADF’s growing presence in the UK as a surprising new export from the US, when they've been infiltrating the UK for YEARS!

It's willful blindness/ hypocricy by journalists who have amplified the transphobic narratives that opened the door to these groups!
