Our job is simple the next 4 years, and the rest of the rest of our lives really, it is to help those people who are the most persecuted. When Trump helps people great. When he hurts people, we do everything in our power to oppose him.

Reminder: Trump has wagged a finger at Putin a few times, but he's given that monster what Putin needs most: delay and time.

B is so right
After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
Let’s be clear about what happened to Jimmy Kimmel
Trump’s most brazen attack on free speech yet.

@douglaswilson.bsky.social and @petehegsethfan.bsky.social believe this should be overturned.
On this day in 1920, the 19th Amendment was ratified into law.

It's not a good sign when the Judge throws in there "unlawful".
O'Hickey: In their TRO papers, they requested return to US, not return to Maryland.

Xinis: Before he was unlawfully arrested, he was on supervised release with ICE checkups. Isn't status quo ante to return him to that? Can't I only do that if I return him to that?

Fascist hate the courts.
Xinis: I further find it "highly problematic" that counsel can't provide information about what they knew about proceedings related to securing indictment...

At one point as she speaks, Xinis stops and asks Abrego's counsel how they found out about his return

Response: "We learned on ABC news"

This is how our press should operate. Make the person answer the question. The second reporter should back up the first.
O'Hickey tries to argue that 4th Circuit didn't squarely address the issue -- it only ruled on the. merits, not the jurisdictional question.

Xinis, obviously frustrated, remind her that jurisdiction is a threshold question. To even get to the merits, there'd have to be jurisdiction.

I like this judge
Xinis: Was the indictment one of the steps the government made to facilitate Abrego's return?

LONNNNNG pause

O'Hickey: He was under investigation anyway...

Xinis: He wasn't under investigation until April 21...

O'Hickey: I don't think that's true

Xinis: It was in sworn testimony

With the passage of this budget, we are going to see interment camps, many deaths. The news before about family separate stopped him from doing it. Now it is centerpiece. Amnesty international will start paying attention.
All while we have now had 13 people die in ICE custody this year.
As we’ve reported before, ICE facilities are rife with human rights violations. Now, the Department of Homeland Security is trying to hide them, formally requiring members of Congress and their staff to give seven days’ notice before visiting immigration detention centers.

“ICE” better catch a clue before they attack folks and then lie to a judge about being attacked. We are watching and recording them, as is our right. We’re not just relying on surveillance video.

He has trouble with words like this. He confuses insane asylum and political asylum. He thinks our jets (invisible to radar) are like wonder woman's invisible jet. He thought confused human smugglers with the animal coyote. So man, enrichment must be really tough for him. People had to say..
Trump: "Enrichment doesn't mean, like, air conditioning, and it doesn't mean to jack up your car. Enrichment is a bad word."

Trump is celebrating the Supreme Court ruling about Nationwide injuctions, which needed to be addressed anyways. Birthright citizenship is one of those exceptions that meets the criteria for a national injuction. It takes away millions of peoples citizenship.
