Just finished Blood in the Machine by @bcmerchant.bsky.social. A brilliant work of historical reclamation, as insightful as it is instructive. It’s a narrative full of hidden struggles and arresting parallels to the gig-industrial revolution today. We can learn a great deal from the Luddites.

Just finished Blood in the Machine by @bcmerchant.bsky.social. A brilliant work of historical reclamation, as insightful as it is instructive. It’s a narrative full of hidden struggles and arresting parallels to the gig-industrial revolution today. We can learn a great deal from the Luddites.
Last night I dreamt I was looking at street view on Google maps and when I cursored over a tree the word “Tree” appeared in a text bubble, which I saw I could rename, so I changed it to “Tree/Him/His” and laughed myself awake.
