Tom Nichols: “This ongoing game show of ‘strike a boat every day’ […] is making us into worse people — every one of us, whether we’re in uniform or just ordinary citizens. It is spiritually and morally corrosive on every level.”

Mark Kelly: “Pete Hegseth is not a serious person. He’s unqualified for this job. I think he is the least qualified Secretary of Defense in the history of our country by far. & this President thinks he can bully & intimidate people? He’s not gonna stop me from speaking out & holding him accountable”

A perfect morning in El Cerrito…

My wife organized a fun gathering at Castro Park for our school’s kindergarten kids and parents.

And on our walk home a friend saw us and invited us in to meet the four six week old kittens they’re fostering. 🐈🐈‍⬛😻

Today's pick was from yesterday's marathon. Saved this one to talk about by itself.

Alien: Resurrection (1997)

A favorite midnight movie of mine. Not good, per se, but amazing. Alien-human hybrids, pervy scientists, Ron Pearlman is there. Sigourney Weaver crawls around on the ground.
Movie magic.
