Anyone out here who works with student loans? I ignored all those "follow these people" lists because I don't like being told what to do. Now I want one of those lists -- but just for student loan lawyers and advocates!!

Is there a fancy Latin phrase or some prefect quote for no shame? Shamelessness is being defined before our very eyes.
Trump just suspended enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a key anti-bribery law signed by Carter in 1977. For 50 years, it stopped corporations from bribing foreign officials. Now, Trump is letting corruption run wild.

Attention Consumer advocates!!Download the CFPB Consumer complaint database while you still can.
Same for the databases of Consumer lending agreements.
This is an absolutely astonishing report.

DOGE did a complete takeover of CFPB’s systems at the root.

This is identical to worst case scenarios for the most devastating cyberattacks by foreign actors, only this is an *internal* threat
I want to highlight what I believe is a significant document that I reviewed for this story. It's a memorandum of understanding between DOGE & CFPB. In all the coverage of DOGE's takeover of agencies I haven't read or heard about a document like this. I think this stands out

Oh someone finally noticed this??!!!

It is just so much more thrilling to see big mansions crashing to earth with the ocean in the background apparently. I've been seriously annoyed but not surprised at this.
Not only this, but the plights of unhoused people in the LA fires have gone virtually ignored, despite the fact that the city has one of the country's largest homeless populations. I wrote about this for @motherjones.com yesterday:
