Almost right, IMO. I think the problem is that when everyone thought he was just a mouthy commie the centrists were frosty on him, and now it's come out that he's got a nazi tattoo from his BlackRock days, the Yglesias wing is all in on him as the authentic voice of the working class.
I keep seeing Dems blamed for this guy's candidacy and I just want to point out that less than a week ago the complaint was that Dems weren't backing him. This is a case study in how easy it is to manipulate recent history.
