How low must we direct our eyes to see the depths of cruelty of Hegseth's moves? Serious defence replaced by video-game mentality. Preposterous to think these tiny boats are aiming to land in US without needed fuel nor the hypothetical drugs. Massive military mobilization for murder spree! Fire Heg!

Yes, when Trump leaned briefly in Zelenskyy's direction, it was when he thought that Ukraine could win the war. Then Putin spoke with him, and he realigned with Putin. Trump prefers winners. It is important that European leaders and pro-Ukraine Republicans to keep up this alternative narrative.

A living wage is not charity. Why should billionaires be praised for charity while maintaining control over money? Musk put billions into his foundation only used to fund employee training. Employees deserve the empowerment of decent wages, not a wage many hundreds of times lower than the CEO.

If Hegseth is not drunk with alcohol, he is at least drunk with power, the power of the lethal force at his command at the head of the most powerful military force in the world. He lacks the sense of responsibility+righteousness that great power requires+stoops to the enjoyment of lethal bullying.

In setting forth a RICO case against Trump and his co-conspirators, GA prosecutor Fani Willis was presenting the most comprehensive case, where one part informed+infused meaning into the other parts. Her relationship was not illegal, charge trumped up. Sad: the public will now be denied insights.

Punchbowl reports other Repubs will follow MTG and quit the House early, possibly handing the House to the Dems even before the midterms. They are sick of being treated badly by the Trump Admin, stripped of the legitimate power of the Branch, their role in checks and balances, their right to speak!

This is an important study. Brexit has been a disaster for the UK. Europe and the UK should find a way to patch up their differences and the UK should rejoin. We are stronger together, especially in the fraught international environment of the present. Let bygones be bygones and stand together!

Foreclosures+bankruptcies are up, incoming cargo is down, foreigners are backing off from buying our Treasuries (debt)+making trade deals without us.Health Care will skyrocket while general inflation rises+economic growth falters.Yet Bessent says a recession isn't coming! Right! Rather a depression!

All the treachery is based on Trump's overall alignment with Putin. Gutting our intelligence services, diverting them to stupid ICE tasks, dissolving protections, dismissing competent military leaders+betraying our allies. We are vulnerable as never before. Putin is making our policies.

The Rogue Supreme Court means every final decision, should it arrive there, ends up with a group that brazenly violated the Constitution+declared nearly unchallengable Presidential power with its Immunity decision. Those who voted for immunity should be impeached. Will they kill voting rights too?

This so-called peace plan offers nothing to Ukraine and meets Russia's short-term goals. It would give Russia a break and more territory as it prepared its next offensive against Ukraine, all the while reducing Ukrainian forces. I can't find the "peace" in this plan.

Steven Miller and the right-wing media world has been putting out the FALSE message that the 6 Congresspeople told members to the military to not follow orders.
But the 6 former intel and military members only reminded people of the law: that they should not follow ILLEGAL orders. NOT seditious!

Lawrence O'Donnell rose to new heights of brilliance last night. He used the metaphor of the Berlin Wall falling, suddenly, unexpectedly, revealing the weakness of dictators. The survivors and Congress tore down the Trump wall:

ZERO surprise! Trump has signed the Epstein Transparency Act as is politically necessary. But Bondi to the rescue! As predicted, suddenly the DOJ is opening another investigation, thus blocking release of the files. The cat+mouse game should end. Now, release+let the court of public opinion decide.

It was a relief to find that the House could vote yes but one, and the Senate go with Schumer's proposed unanimous consent.
We needed this courage earlier:
We needed them to block choices of incompetent+deliberately destructive agency heads.
We needed Congress to keep control of spending.+stop ICE.

This is what we want:
The files.
The whole files.
And nothing but the files.
Except for the names of the survivors.

Some say that if all our personal data from various gov't agencies has been exfiltrated (stolen) by DOGE and sent to the Techbros, that we all will need to be issued new Social Security Numbers. Not sufficient! They can backtrace from other info (address, birthdate) to reconstruct dataset+new SS#s.

Russia's "transition to capitalism" was undermined by the takeover of massive public assets by KBG operatives, future oligarchs. At the public-private boundary much corruption occurs: eg when a company passes its losses to the state for taxpayers to pay.
Here, does Trump keep company shares?

No coincidence that HeritageFoundation's Russell Vought, Trump's head of the Office of Management and Budget, whose desire to repurpose gov't funds for his nefarious ends, has teamed up with Trump's desire for absolute power. We need to investigate their free-wheeling, unchecked diversion of funds!

Lawrence O'Donnell says the quiet part out loud, that the release of the Epstein Files may be the end of the Trump Presidency and, like Nixon, force him to resign. I hope this is another example of Lawrence's prescience!
Adelita Grivalja signed+R women didn't cave. Soon vote in House, then Senate.

Repubs in Congress want to get in on the Trumpian grift of suing the gov't over past investigations-up to $500,000. Jack Smith's look at their phone logs around Jan6 is inspiring their false outrage and false claims their phones were tapped-after 8week paid vacation! Screwing the taxpayer yet again

Stephanie Ruhle correctly calibrates the tariff revenue as $195 billion, while Trump claims it's $3 trillion. But hey, what do a few zeros matter? He needs the Sillion, a silly, indefinite number with whatever amount of zeros needed to obfuscate political issues+hide tariff debacle in fog of numbers

Trump's bullying and blackmail have gone international. The BBC is now on the learning curve, and will have to grapple with this, as American institutions have had to. The main insight to glean is that if you give into Trump, he comes back for more. Fight back. Bullies only understand strength.

It is worrisome that Farage still has a prominent role in UK politics, even as the country grows more+more positive about the idea of re-entering the EU. UK far-right politics needs to be soundly rejected by the people there before the EU considers idea of accepting the UK back. We don't need this!

Stephanie Ruhle astutely posits the idea of a shared "moral compass" uniting a seemingly diverse Dem Party. She calls out the cruelty of the right-wing media mocking SNAP recipients often with fake AI-generated videos. Della Volpe adds the American people are kinder, "far better than our politics."
