Why is Trump going after America's air traffic controllers, today of all days?

It's one more way to distract from his decision to increase your health insurance premiums."

The arrogance of a Senator who is not even running again to take the lead in undermining the Caucus and the voters.
Shaheen: So let me be clear. No one in the senate chamber wants to extend the ACA tax credits more than I do.

Anyway if you’re like me it’s a good night to cancel a bunch of recurring Democratic monthly donations and increase my monthly recurring donation to @runforsomething.net

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

My statement on the proposed Senate deal
November 10, 2025 at 1:14 AM
Just called @schumer.senate.gov at 202-224-6542 and reminded him that caving now shows nothing but feckless leadership. Senate Dems need to hold the line. This is the GOP's shut down and they own it.

Endless debates about where the line should be drawn between e-bikes/e-motorcycles? Prob a legitimate debate but the bigger question is why is that the only line we are debating? Why is there no debate about max horsepower for cars? Max tire size for trucks?

A fun question. In 5 years time, what looks better? The US’s enormous bet & capex on AI? Or China’s equally enormous bet and capex on renewables?
China has made cheap, clean energy available in huge quantities. The world should take the win econ.st/4oqFszB

Reporter: The US handles about 45,000 flights a day. A 10% reduction of that is worse than the worst cancellation day of the past year, every day until the shutdown ends. Never in modern US aviation history has the federal government done an across the board cut of flight capacity like this

we can chalk it up to youth and inexperience but the biggest mistake the mamdani campaign made was winning by 8.8% and not 1.5%, which is the margin needed for the media to say it’s a total mandate

The Celtics win a game in which despite trying very hard to at the end...never trailed.

Three straight wins.

Celtics now with a +6.0 differential, and have actually outrebounded the opposition.

Brutal back-to-back, five-games-in-seven-nights matchup with Houston tomorrow.

CDC’s ability to prevent injuries like drowning, traumatic brain injury and falls is severely compromised by Trump cuts
Preventable injuries and deaths kill more Americans in the first half of life than any other cause, including cancer. Yet the programs aimed at addressing them have been gutted by CDC layoffs.

Kelly: "You gotta remember in Trump's big legislation they added $4t to the debt to give a big tax cut for wealthy people on the backs of the American people & what their healthcare costs. That's why these [subsidies] have gone away. They didn't want it to be $6t. They wanted it to just be $4t."

Failing multiple tests of a newspaper’s obligations to its readers and the public. Shameful
