I went and saw YMBBT about a million years ago and I can remember every single moment of the entire ride. It was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before or since and I think about it a lot.

Also - BOVTS is not going to be the last. So many universities are in big financial trouble. There is going to be a crisis in higher education, particularly in arts courses and especially in vocational arts training.

This is terrible. I love that place - have worked with some INCREDIBLE students, staff & creatives there. It is (WAS - oh my god) one of the best places to train in the UK if not the world. Hopefully this is temporary. Otherwise, a terrible, terrible loss.
This is devastating news - part of a much bigger problem with higher education institutions in the UK in general, sure, but a development that will have a profound impact on theatre nonetheless.

1/ So, where were we? Oh yep, #duvetknowitschristmas. Firstly, some admin: Twitter/X has evidently been run into the ground by a preening, self-radicalised clot, so while there's a slim possibility that this annual celebration might be thriving over there, I won't know cos I won't be looking.
