I was surprised to see this in the news. I had thought it was common knowledge that NHS Find a Dentist was as truthful as a Keir Starmer pledge or a Donald Trump boast.

Perhaps Kwasi Kwarteng can help this Labour government get its shit in order?
Unless someone in the Treasury reassures the markets pretty soon, there’s every chance the UK will need to raise *more* tax for less in return. Total clusterfuck in the making, this.

Having a budget fall apart more than a week before it’s actually be delivered might be a new record.

US household debt hit $18+ trillion in Q3 of 2025, up sharply from last year. Credit-card balances are climbing, delinquencies ticking higher, and for many households, the gap between income and expenses narrows month by month. This when the regime has stopped publishing basic economic information.

100% this, something so odd about the fact that he was seen as this insanely well connected guy for years, like that one man everyone powerful knew and liked for some reason, when we're yet to see evidence of even one trace of like, basic wit, warmth or charm in those emails
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

Because this is Bluesky, very little commentary on the BBC's disgraceful capitulation to Transactivism over the past decade. Senior figures either too afraid, or too cowardly to stand up to the post-modernist censorious bullies. This is a far greater scandal than the Trump editing nonsense.

This would do far more to counter the illicit economy than digital ID cards will ever be capable of.
People fleeing war and persecution are ready and able to contribute to our society.

The problem is... they're not allowed.

Rather than shipping them off to army barracks all over the country, it's time to let asylum seekers work.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the problem. Thinking like this, that is.
What Democrats need to do is neither embrace the ideas of the Bernie / AOC / Mamdani faction nor obsessively freeze Bernie / AOC / Mamdani out.

What they have to do is be tougher on crime and illegal immigration and prioritize broad-based prosperity over emissions reductions and identity politics.

We should actually talk about the toilet thing.

The UK SC was forced to rule that non-unisex toilets are exclusively single sex or single gender, due to the wording of the EA.

But maybe we don't really need male exclusive spaces. Just as men's sports tend not to bar women, the loos needn't either.

I hope not too many TRAs are confused by the absence of apparent papistry in this post.

Charles Amos argues that if a law prohibits you from doing something with property you are allowed to purchase (e.g. a phone), then the law violates your rights.

Should we check the hard drives? Disseminating CP is illegal after all, and yet something his phone is capable of.

Utter nonsense.
This is, quite literally, insane. A free market/property rights defence of a landlord's right to let damp and mouldy property that will kill occupiers. (Also an illustration of why housing conditions have been regulated by statute for the last 100 years or so.)
