Today the Supreme Court granted review in an important case for the outcome of the 2026 elections. At stake is the fate of tens or even hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots. Exactly right. Why should we respect a president who doesn’t respect the constitution he swore an oath to uphold?

This is a disgraceful vote to end the shutdown and not get healthcare for people.

Last night, tragically, 8 Democrats caved.

But the struggle continues.

Short term, we must not allow health care premiums to double for more than 20 million Americans.

Long term, we must provide health care to all as a human right.

Hey Senate Dems, mike johnson said last week he WOULD NOT promise a vote on tax credits!!!

Do you know what a bill the passes the senate but doesn't pass the house is called?

It's called NOTHING!

The republicans wont even hang the January 6th plaque (which is already law) They played you.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

Not seen a single House D or potential 2028 D support this. They must be the D's who want a future.

Caving on a deal that doesn’t fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.

Hold the line. Save health care. I’m a NO on anything that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies.

Every day this shutdown drags on, Virginians feel it, from federal workers struggling to pay their bills to families unsure how they will put food on the table because this administration is cruelly and deliberately withholding the assistance they need.

Americans can’t afford food and they can’t afford health care. We are in a cost-of-living crisis of Republicans’ making and we must address it now – not at a later, undisclosed date. Any deal that doesn’t address the cost of health care doesn’t work for the American people. We have to keep fighting.

Sen Dems: OK, we'll vote to open the government if all promise to give us a vote on health-care in the future.
Sen Repubs: (to each other "omg this is like taking candy from a baby") Yes deal!!!
Sen Dems: You guys promise? We are trusting you
Sen Repubs: Would we ever lie to you 😉

I'm looking to see not only which Senate Dem candidates oppose this surrender (all of them will) but also where they go beyond this with respect to senate leadership.

I want to see concrete promises for a new fighting Dem Party, because the current one is broken.
This moment demands fighters, not folders.

Cruelty really is the point. Who else would go to court begging for permission to starve their own citizens? Meanwhile, they send $40 billion to Argentina, buying two private jets for ICE “Barbie,” and Trump has already burned through $1 trillion in less than two months.

We are the wealthiest nation in the history of the world.

And the Republicans are about to let 22 MILLION Americans lose their health insurance.

The least we can do is extend the ACA tax credits for the next year and provide some relief.
