"Average migrant who comes to the UK on a skilled worker visa contributes 20 times more than the average UK-born adult."
Labour needs to drop the "open borders" rhetoric, and start focusing on shifting language to being about how and why immigration is a benefit.

Training up UK workers may not bring down net migration, Starmer warned
Skilled overseas workers contribute 20 times more than UK-born adults, while some shortages may be due to pay and conditions, say advisers

The media is failing tremendously by not stating at the end of every single interview with these lunatics that “the science is clear, no debate is needed, vaccines work, and if we do not use them, many people will die.”
Senator-elect Jim Banks on RFK Jr: "This country is ready for a big debate about vaccines."

I don't love it either, but I'm not sure how you tell a man that he should let his only surviving son rot in prison to respect norms, institutions, and the rule of law, when the country you devoted your life to serving just pretty comprehensively voted they don't give a shit about any of that.

This disco thread has turned into something quite epic and jogged my memory about some great irresistible tracks that had unforgivably dropped off my radar. Thanks again to all who contributed.
Greatest disco track ever made? Like all such questions it’s ridiculous and stupid but fun. I say Lost in Music by Sister Sledge. #DiscoFlareOnTheDiscoFlair

This excellent good news story is a product of the Scottish Prison Service.

There is no 'British' prison service.

Scotland's system is separate from, and different to, the other nations.

Scotland has its own laws and criminal justice system.
In a rare piece of good news, the British criminal justice system actually does something that will cut reoffending, reduce family breakdown, improve school attainment and attendance amongst prisoners' children, and reduce the wider social cost of father absenteeism.

The eight-week programme was first delivered at HMP Barlinnie in Glasgow, followed by HMP Perth, and has so far involved 14 families with children aged five to 12.

This poll about another EU referendum isn't going quite the way the Daily Express thought at the moment.
POLL: Do you agree with Carol Vorderman that there should be a referendum on rejoining the EU?
