🚨 The EU Commission caves to pressure to weaken ETS2!

Flooding Europe’s new carbon market for 🚗&🏠 with more pollution permits won’t protect people, it’ll reward polluters.

Worried about high carbon prices? Cut fossil demand now and use ETS2 cash to help citizens, not to buy time for fossil fuels.

A powerful way to discuss climate greenwashing with #youth: turn it into a game.
Role-playing the roles of policymakers, CEOs, and activists reveals just how complex the fight is. And it empowers them to see through the green sheen and recognize real vs. bogus claims.

🧑‍⚖️ Who’s guilty of greenwashing?

As part of our European Youth in Action project, we stepped into a mock courtroom to put fake corporate climate claims on trial. We dissected real “green” portfolios - learning by playing, and training young people to spot lobbyist tricks and greenwash like pros. 💫

Some good ideas on how to decarbonise homes in Europe without helping Trump or Putin.
❤️‍🔥 Europe has the power to reclaim its heat.

It’s time to kick fossil dependence to the curb.

The EU is drafting a new Heating & Cooling Strategy - a unique chance to break free from fossil dependency and make renewable, affordable heat the European standard.

Here’s how 👇

Green products: it's time for supermarkets to step up!

Retailers must make products with the #EUEcolabel (and equivalent labels) available, visible and affordable – so the sustainable choice becomes the easy choice everywhere in Europe.

This is useful both in the EU and the US.
🌲Burning wood is clean, green and climate neutral, right?
🫢Nope. wrong. It's renewable, but it is far from being climate-neutral, and it is already the #1 source of air pollution in Europe. Bummer.

🔥 BREAKING: Heat pumps now outsell gas boilers in Germany!

A major climate milestone - and proof that fossil-free heating works when policy delivers:

✅ National ban on fossil fuel boilers in new buildings
✅ Strong EU-level renewable heating rules
✅ Public funding to help households make the switch
Heat Pump Sales Top Gas Boilers in Germany for the First Time
Sales of heat pumps in Germany surpassed gas boilers for the first time as a ban on dirty heating systems forces a shift to cleaner energy.

Introducing serious filters in wood stoves is a win-win-win measure:
🎯It improves indoor and outdoor air quality, improving comfort and saving lives.
🎯It cuts on climate emissions, as these local emissions are ALSO serious climate pollutants
🎯It cuts on societal health costs

A short read👇
🔥 Wood stoves: romantic, rustic, and deadly.

Wood burning is the EU’s top source of fine particle pollution (PM2.5) from energy.

A new EEB study shows that mandatory filters on new stoves could slash toxic emissions by 70% – at a cost of less than 0.5% of annual household income.

Wood stoves without filters? EU study warns of high health costs
