Fascinating article. Basic income experiments do not yield the predicted positive results, this Dutch newspaper article sums up the evidence and only in poorer countries do you see significant differences vis-a-vis the control group.

Faced with a €30 billion-a-year repayment bill from Covid-era borrowing, the European Commission briefly considered the unthinkable — tapping into the EU’s most sacred cow, farm subsidies.
Brussels backs off from big farm shake-up. Cuts are coming anyway.
The European Commission tried to gut the EU farm budget. Farmers, ministers and lobbyists fought back and won. But with funds shrinking, the pain is only delayed.

A new bill rapidly making its way through the US Senate threatens to devastate Russia. But also parts of the European Union economy.

I break down the Graham-Blumenthal bill.
New US Senate bill could wreck Russia, but damage EU economy
In a bid to isolate Moscow, a new bill in the US Senate threatens to impose 500% tariffs on any country that buys Russian fossil fuels. If implemented as intended, the plan could ravage several EU countries. #EuropeNews

mooi stuk over Griekenland.
