Brit record producer and musician. Usually in the studio but sometimes biking or flying. Not just woke, actually born in Woking
I don't know a soul who's not been battered
I don't have a friend who feels at ease
I don't know a dream that's not been shattered
Or driven to its knees

UK is subsidising forest-burning #Drax power station with around £2 million a day.

Now we hear Gov is considering extending the subsidy past 2027 😡

This is the Emporer’s New Clothes.

Drax is as bad as coal. And everyone knows it.

Really interesting thread Katie, thanks
What do you mean by the sound dropping off faster when you're close to the source?
Moving speakers farther away also improves stability. Sound drops off faster when you're closer to the source, so some distance means your movements have less impact. The speed of sound doesn't change with distance so time coherency is always a challenge.

I do worry about boys playing sport with girls. My daughter plays on the boys rugby team and she dwarfs the poor little fellas. She leaves a trail of flattened bodies & broken dreams as she storms through the centre like a Valkyrie.

But what’s so great about it, don’t we have legislation for climate and the environment already? Well...
