Que els cossos policials que patrullen pels carrers tenen un biaix racista a l’hora d’aturar i demanar la identificació és una realitat que afecta greument la vida de molta gent, des de persones en situació administrativa irregular fins a nascudes aquí. Denúncies d’associacions de defensa dels drets humans, diversos treballs acadèmics i les mateixes estadístiques oficials evidencien que una persona que, per la seva aparença, pot ser d’origen africà, americà o asiàtic té molts més números que la resta de ser considerada sospitosa
