Walking the landscape between Kings Worthy and South Wonston. A fascinating blend of farmland and wartime history.

Beltaine Festival at Butser Ancient Farm 2025! Another amazing event enjoyed with the wonderful @tangledmuses. It's wonderful to have seen this festival grow over the years and become the best of its kind. Simply outstanding. Thank you @butserancientfarm

Not my usual subject, but these are some shots of Bristol's streets. The city possesses a beautiful, yet sometimes brutal, aesthetic. Take away a couple of centuries, and you'd have the perfect backdrop for a China Miéville novel.

Moving visit to the stunning and culturally significant Watt's Gallery and chapel! Discovering the inspiring art of Victorian painter George Watts and Arts & Crafts pioneer Mary Watts was deeply moving. Her unique chapel, a community-built masterpiece, is a must-see.

We could barely see the sky in our old house. But since moving to the hilltop where we now reside, I can witness the dawn from my window every morning. This simple pleasure, this daily gift, reminds me of the fundamental rhythm of the planets, of night and day. Thank you, universe. ❤️

Hexfoils, gargoyles and inscriptions on tombs. The early people of this very old church of around 1000 years, certainly were worried about the potential evils that hounded them. I love exploring our past, especially when it delves into held beliefs and superstitions.

I have been talking to my students about juxtaposition recently.

The content, space and positioning of each element, come together to form new meaning.

This magpie graced my walk this morning. When I looked up to take another shot, they had vanished.

Exploring light and form. I shot a couple of rolls of medium format film but couldn't resist a few digital photographs too.

Even in the darkest of moments there is hope. When we look deeply within ourselves and see our true nature, we may see the light in all things.

I am very pleased to share that after many hours of development I have created a new website.

My website brings together both my sound therapy and photography practise.

You can buy prints but this is currently based in the US, so a UK version is coming soon.

The impressive architecture of Wells Cathedral. The way sound and light moves through this space always leaves me in awe. It's such a sensory experience and a delight to photograph. The first shot is of the ceiling in the heart of the cathedral, its height and intricate design is a beautiful sight.

Forests are the birthplace of fairytale and myth, where narratives unfold and truths are revealed. They beckon us to explore the wilderness within, the parts of ourselves we've exiled to the fringes. What have we refused to see, and what clarity arises in the darkness?

'Shapeshifting'
As light fades, the eyes fail,
And the mind and imagination seek,
That which moves beneath the veil.

Down by the river today. We spent some much needed time ambling along these beautiful waters. It felt peaceful and calm. Lovely to feel the sunshine too.

I have been thinking a lot about the way things are and my place within it all. In amongst the chaos, I have been walking with Lucy @tangledmuses within the landscape of our home. There is a lot of history here, but also many mysterious spaces which seem to escape waking eyes.

Allow me to introduce myself... 📷

My name is Dave (aka @earthresonance)

My aim is to open a dialogue which explores our connection with the natural world, in the hope that we may rekindle and heal this broken relationship.
