Ah yes, the intractable continuity of the James Bond franchise. Sometimes he has a dead wife and sometimes he doesn't. One minute he's at the start of his career and then almost immediately near the end of it. His 'death' feels like a minor inconvenience at best.

Tell me you haven't read From Russia With Love without telling me you haven't read From Russia With Love.
(Context: at the end of the novel, Bond is poisoned by Rosa Klebb. He collapses to the floor and it's strongly implied he's dying. This cliffhanger is simply ignored in the next book.)

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:
“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Picked up a couple of these St. Eval candles this time last year and was rather pleased with them so I'm sticking with them again this year.

This term is so social media-brained. Coined by people who can't imagine themselves without an audience, or that anyone could genuinely want to pass time in any other form than Stare at Phone

Watching Murders In the Rue Morgue (Robert Florey, 1932) and marvelling at the cute little ape letterhead on the writing paper of Dr. Mirakle (Bela Lugosi), Dr. Mirakle who is abducting women and injecting them with ape blood in order to create a mate for his murderous sideshow ape. Pre Code, yes.

Where now for Britain’s Universities?
UK higher education now faces a very bleak future, retreating in the face of little public sympathy and limited political interest.

Feel like I bought the Dr Who Season 7 box set ages ago but I'm finally watching it now. The Malcolm Hulke documentary is a real gem. "All Dr Who is political" should probably be on T-shirts.
