Hi I'm Dan 👋 I'm 💍 to an awesome beautiful woman, I love the outdoors 🏔️ and I'm here to talk GAMES!
Some favourite series:
🤠 RDR
🐉 Elder Scrolls
⚔️ The Witcher
☢️ STALKER, Metro & Fallout
🚀 Mass Effect
💉 Bioshock
🧟♂️ State of Decay
By very far my favourite hack n' slash series. I have genuine concerns about playing as a different character & the modern, mechanical tone of the setting. But I'm still expecting a great ride 🙏

While I have my criticisms, it builds on RPG elements in important ways. I particularly enjoyed how much traits, perks and flaws impact your entire playthrough and offer tons of replayability.
Obsidian's awesome man.

This game's been super fun.

No franchise repeats (list would've looked very different otherwise)
I say 'gaming experiences' bc context matters a ton. A lot of these probably wouldn't rank if I had played them now for the 1st time.
Also very easy to see who'll be my GOTY lol

All these puppies for like $20. I think I'm starting to see the appeal of PC gaming.

Here are some more screen grabs of #TheOuterWorlds2 to brighten up your monday.
(some Fallout vibes in this game are unmistakable btw)

STALKER 2 is my favourite game of 2024 and top 5 of the gen for me.
Frostpunk is one of my favourite indies.
And I spent over 570h on FM24 this year.
You take Spirittea out and this list looks like it was custom made for me.
-Football Manager 24
-Spirittea
-S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
-Blacksmith Master (Game Preview)
-Frostpunk

Four back-to-back Xbox games, my ridiculously optimistic side is telling me I can finish them all in 1 month 🤞

My only replay was the first Alan Wake, so I discovered a ton of great stuff here. Horror is such an incredible genre.
Happy Halloween you fine beautiful folks! 🎃🔪🩸

Fear the Spotlight is a simple homage to Silent Hill atmosphere and retro aesthetics, one that uses ambience in a way that fully respects survival horror origins.
Doesn't nail everything imo, but it's a refreshing entry in the genre and a great Halloween pick.

Never heard of Coma 2 until I picked it up on a whim and I'm glad I did. A very competent survival horror, I feel fans of the style will appreciate it even more than me.

I'll be diving into every single one of these puppies.

I don't really know anything about this game apart from the fact it looks like nothing I'd normally go for. But somehow that's what's making me want to give it a go.
Let's take a look-see 🤞

Call of Cthulhu has its rough edges for sure, but to me it felt a bit like an interesting cross between Vampyr and LA Noire against a lovecraftian backdrop. And I mean what's not to like about that pitch?

I've played a ton of incredible games before & since 2018, some of which are now my all-time favourites. But to this day nothing has matched RDR2's world, writing, characters, emotions and reactivity.
This game means so much to me.
(and this song 😭)

Yeah it's a tad rough around the edges now and then, but so far I find it pretty good. Great atmosphere, lovecraftian visuals & VA, interesting story and cool investigation and RPG systems.

If I remember correctly reviews weren't particularly kind to this one, but I've never been one to pay much attention to them anyway, and besides the tone looks pretty cool.
