Parents Are You Tired Of Your Child Doing This?
Big text at the top says "Parents! Are you sick of your child doing this?" Been doing some last manuscript tweaks. Some formatting improvements, some “show don’t tell” dialog, a couple extra bad jokes, and now the funny rat sidekick has little outfits. That one is the most important change. #writing

Just had the immensely satisfying moment of finishing the first draft of the last act of my story. All in it might be two books or three, and the last act will need redrafting before it’s readable, but either way, it’s done. #writing

Since I'm nearing completion of the first draft of my... well, sort of second book, but it's more of a double bill type thing, since the story didn't fit in one, I thought it would be a good time to post some amusing excerpts from various points in the story.

The moral of this one? Who knows.
Excerpt Reads: The most recent entertaining mishap doing the rounds was the story of a local petty criminal who had attempted to break into the back of a van, which was parked on the street outside a diner while its owner stopped for lunch, only to find the back of the van was carrying thousands of inch-long hornet like insects. Having disturbed the creatures while breaking open the van and prying open the crate storing them, the gentleman in question was set upon by the creatures and ended up running screaming down Main Street while the swarm pursued him. Before anyone had a chance to help him, not that anyone was particularly inclined to, the sheer quantity of stings had saturated him with so much toxic and acidic venom that most of his soft tissues had liquefied. ‘Yeah, so they just sluiced most of him down the drain and let the hellhounds have the bones. Except the skull, the emo girl that runs the occult novelties shop wanted that,’ Fin concluded.
