here is an extremely specific meme that spawned from me trying to rename my computer, and my friends coming up with a banger name for it.
The laptop I bought myself for Christmas arrived today, but instead of feeling excited at all I really just feel relieved that the process of trying to buy it is over.

It's insane that ram is now half the cost of new gaming hardware, quite literally preventing anyone without a net worth from getting into PC gaming. But don't worry, everyone's AI generated something or other is now even more dangerous.

My favorite part of ghost of tsushima is the part near the beginning where you have to initiate a standoff and the game freezes for so long that the music literally runs out.

When working on half-life ep1 and ep2, if I created a new vcd (voice and animation file) i had the character standing and waving so the animators wouldn’t miss it had voice but needed final animation.
In gamedev, if you're using a placeholder asset, best practices involve marking it as placeholder so garishly and offensively clearly PLACEHOLDER that you can't possibly miss it. Also flagging that asset in the dev process so it can be identified quickly before the final build.

I've actually been meaning to schedule a doctor's appointment for the year, and it might not be a terrible idea to also try and schedule a first time therapy appointment at the same time. Too bad school and work are keeping me too busy for that shit.
