Every year I have such a hard time thinking of a gift for my Dad! It’s not that I don’t know what he likes, but he has everything he wants/needs for his hobbies (hunting/fishing/outdoorsy things) and other than that he’s not a huge “stuff” guy.

Getting old means that you might sit down to take a pee and suddenly you’re in so much pain you can barely stand up again 🤠 My back/ribcage is so fucked that I was sobbing and gasping in pain this AM, while barely able to get out of bed/use the washroom/get dressed to go to the walk-in. No bueno.

I am certainly not a stranger to the feelings of invisibility and profound loneliness during my lowest points in life, but that doesn’t make any of it less difficult to carry. You have to have your own back, I know this, but what a relief it would be to hear “let me help make this lighter for you.”
