Writing FIRST LIGHT, a SF series about space communism.
Pinned
Hey you know how the other day, I said I was getting a cover for First Light and was really excited to share it?

I got a cover for #FirstLight and I'm really excited to share it.

All credit goes to my partner who did not wish to be named.

Damn right it's a COVER REVEAL, NERDS!
Six in shambles.

I'll let you know right now I'm gonna be even nicer once I've read the darn thing!

IT'S SO GODDAMN GOOD IS THE THING

Incidentally, expect me to talk about Luminous Tapestry a lot more going forward, now that I don't feel omega guilty having to add the little "oh you can buy it... but it's on Amazon" caveat at the end
February 10, 2026 at 6:31 PM
Exactly! See, I wouldn't even have to be that powerful or rich a despot to make this happen. Truly, a man of the people.
February 10, 2026 at 6:30 PM
Nah, screw it. I can't bear to have any of my work on Amazon anymore. I thought boycotting it going forward was enough, but no, I can't half-ass this. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

I took the one book I had on Amazon off. I'll move it to other marketplaces soon.

No more evil site for me.

Asparagus Baby definitely needs to team up with Thomas Man so they can fight the dreaded Girlfoe.

It's one of my favorites! I really like Shin, it really feels like a completely new kind of Godzilla movie and I loved it for that. Minus One is a bit more traditional in some ways, but it's an absolutely fantastic watch, imo.

Sorry, I have to watch my sugar intake. Can we settle for aspartame baby? Actually, I don't like children all that much. Aspartame adult. Stevia can be negotiated, but honey is definitely off the table.

Everybody needs to check out this rad cover for Alyssa's book.
๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿฒ COVER REVEAL for TALISMANS OF SIN (Poison and Opium, Act II) ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿ‰

Lady Shadowโ€™s plans for conquest are slowly taking shape, meaning more Demons of the Between Realm will awaken. But will she get to offer her blood oath first, or can Daisuke and Obito step in before she has the chance?

Way too many bits and gubbins for casual talk. No wonder all the kids prefer English!
February 10, 2026 at 5:33 PM
I took dubbing companies some time to start treating Godzilla with the respect he deserves, but they've been killing it lately, casting talented Asian-American actors that absolutely own their roles.

Minus One has a fantastic dub as well.

Even though it loses a little bit of the punch in translation, I think it's honestly impressive that you made it work in both versions!

(Yes, I did try to type this in Portuguese but gave up after having to put in all the tildes and accents and cedilla. My keyboard cannot cope with it ๐Ÿ˜†)

A Xena movie taking place a few decades after the show ended. Xena and Gabrielle, now married, must go on one final epic adventure. On the way they meet up with their old allies Iolaus and a Hercules that looks like a completely recast actor, how odd? Anyway they're probably married too.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

It does that sometimes. It drives me nuts!

I think most of them are bots nowadays. I find that a good way to trip them up, if their replies history isn't conclusive, is to ask pointed questions back. You get stuff like "most people believe--" before they try to force it into another question.

LOL

Your story sounds really cool, by the way! I am just getting into sapphic romance at the moment, and I'm finding a lot of of really cool and exciting stuff I had no idea existed. It's a far cry from the milquetoast stuff that made me think I disliked romance.

Again, sorry for the bummer. Write on!
February 10, 2026 at 2:53 PM
Hi Lissa! I know it sucks to find out, but this Amalie person in your comments is a bot. It's a fairly common scam nowadays--they use AI to try and "engage" with your writing posts, ask a bunch of non sequitur questions, and then try and sell you their AI art for covers.
February 10, 2026 at 2:53 PM
I am actually livid at how advanced these bots are getting. Out there making AI art fake book covers to pass off as real authors.

Stay safe out there, y'all, and remember, Profile -> Replies is your friend. If all they do is ask questions, that's a robot you're talking to.
February 10, 2026 at 2:37 PM
Oh, that sounds amazing. I'll add it to my list as well!

I learned this very recently, but apparently the reason the delivery is like that, is because he was reading it off the script, and had to reel in his laughter in order to finish the line. It was perfect so they kept it.

We owe Tim Curry so much.

#TBRuary Day 10: New Horizons

I'm pretty sure I've never been to Arcadion, Tropos, or even Porky's Palace (sadly), but I'm still eagerly waiting for the Rebel Planet graphic novel.

As a sci-fi author, Rebel Planet is THE inspiration.

#WIPSnips for today is "liquid". I had it but it was a snippet I shared maybe three times since January, so you can have this use of "fluid", instead.

Extali, being annelids, use tubes instead of corridors. Rook goes for a crawl.

I love writing short stories, so commission me to write something โ€” it can be a gift to self or for a loved one!

I could write a Slice of Life or an Eldritch Horror, you decide ^_^
