Thanks to an incredible gift from Paris Orthotics, we are making strides in transforming the future of biomechanics education. The equipment has already been used in student-led research, including an honours thesis exploring jumping dynamics in individuals with lateral ankle sprains.
Dalhousie’s Faculty of Health receives transformative gift from Paris Orthotics Ltd.
State-of-the-art equipment from Paris Orthotics to Faculty of Health will help advance biomechanics education and research.

The iconic Forrest building on our Carleton campus used to house the whole university!

It was the only @dalhousieu.bsky.social building from 1887 until 1914.

Now it’s home to our Schools of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.

Dr. @drcchambers.bsky.social (cross-appointed to the School of Nursing) and her Solutions for Kids in Pain team are working with hospitals to adopt Canada’s first Pediatric Pain Management Standard which provides tools and support to prevent and treat the chronic pain one in five children endure.
DalSolutions: One in five kids endure chronic pain. A new pain standard will soothe it.
Dalhousie’s Dr. Christine Chambers and her colleagues at Solutions for Kids in Pain (SKIP) are working with hospitals to adopt Canada’s first Pediatric Pain Management Standard.

Leslie McCarthy (MN'20) was working as an NP when she realized she and her colleagues had insufficient information and training when it came to transgender health care.

She is now closing in on the goal of becoming certified by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.
