That the Alberta Govt invoked the notwithstanding clause for this during Transgender Awareness Week is the chef’s kiss of cruelty. Please support Skipping Stone’s legal fund
One of the “activist” groups the premier refers to is the Canadian Medical Assn. The other two, Egale + Skipping Stone, backed up their injunction claim with reams of medical and other evidence. Evidence that the gov’t itself is lacking. The UCP is the real activist here. ablawg.ca/2025/11/19/t...

How much money are we spending tracking whether someone does their work in a federal government office or not? Is anyone tracking whether tracking all this activity has had any impact on achieving government objectives? www.hilltimes.com/story/2025/1...

This is a terrible idea and a terrible way to manage people. It is a waste of taxpayer dollars and a great way to destroy trust. If an org. cant tell if people are doing their jobs regardless of location, they have bigger issues to solve than monitoring attendance.

These speeches by Trump and Hegseth are something else.

Read the thread and posts from @atrupar.com
Trump on Gaza: "We're gonna create something that was my idea but unfortunately I got drafted. It's gonna be called the 'board of peace.' And it's gonna reign over that territory. They asked me if I'd be the chairman of the board of peace. I said yes."

That is sad news. Jim was dedicated to the people he represented and made a difference for them.
I am sad to report that Jim Bradley, chair of Niagara region, and the second longest serving MPP of all time, died two hours ago in hospital in St. Catharines. He had been suffering after effects of a stroke and liver cancer. Obituary coming soon. #onpoli

I like that idea!
In my perfect world, Canada Post would become Canada's Amazon, not just for the "get stuff cheap" part, but also the "host your Canadian business in the cloud" part too. If we reimagined what Canada Post could be, it could be a Canadian institution for another 5 generations.
Today's a real good day for aspiring NDP leadership candidates to present an alternate vision for our publicly run postal system.

Also a reasonable time for CUPW to significantly escalate job action.

TV host says the government is cracking down on critics? Well, the government cracks down on him for the criticism.

🚨 Jimmy Kimmel Live pulled off air. Why? He joked Kirk’s killer might’ve been pro-Trump.

Within 48 hrs, Trump’s FCC threatened Disney/ABC’s license and they caved.

That’s not “cancel culture.” That’s state censorship in real time.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

Conservative Americans suck at “free speech”.

Kirk was a guy who had opinions I 100% disagree with. He also had the right to say them. Kimmel had opinions/ jokes that I like. He has the right to say them.

Kirk should not have been murdered for his opinions. Kimmel should not be canceled for his.
BREAKING: ABC has pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air indefinitely following comments he made in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder.

Trump’s FCC chair earlier appeared on MAGA propagandist Benny Johnson’s show and threatened to revoke ABC’s broadcast license if they didn’t take action against him.
