💜 Genuinely celebrate the successes and opportunities that come to others. (Or at least find a way to be neutral and not jealous.) Good for them. Not for me. Celebrate your own successes and opportunities without imposter syndrome. Good for me. Not for them. And that’s ok.

"Improvisation involves coming into a situation without rigid expectations or preconceptions. We must keep going forward, fearful or not, and be ready for anything that comes our way. That's how life is. We're improvising all the time—it’s good to recognize that.”— Bobby McFerrin

Oh, this is a good one! Try this tongue twister with your students:

“If you must cross a course cross cow across a crowded cow crossing, cross the cross coarse cow across the crowded cow crossing carefully.” 🐮

One of the secrets to a long marriage is a sense of humor. It helps if one partner can say the funniest or most absurd things with a completely deadpan delivery. And the other partner is extremely gullible.
“Wait…WHAT??…..Oh, that’s a good one.” 😮😬🙄 😆

1963: My earliest childhood memory is seeing my mother crying as she watched the news reports of President Kennedy's assassination. I was 6-years old, the same age as Caroline Kennedy, and I was afraid that someone might shoot my daddy. Those memories are always in black and white.😢

“And where there’s no risk, there’s no becoming; and where there’s no becoming, there’s no real life. The real spiritual sojourners—the ones who touch the edges of life as well as the center—are people who risk, who let go.”—Sue Monk Kidd

But the fact is the people with resources aren't giving to mutual aid. They are sitting silently watching others suffer. So those of us who know real struggle are in alliance to distribute resources to survive. So I help when I can & then am helped. @qatapult.bsky.social @mutualaidvoid.bsky.social
One of the hardest lessons to learn about advocacy is that we still need to meet our own needs first.

Generosity is predisposed on abundance. We can only raise all ships if we ourselves are keeping afloat.

When facts and actions are discounted, civil debate is impossible. There remains Art through which kindness and credibility may inspire and move the heart.
And thereby, move the mind.
