Now that I’ve been here for a few days I wanted to introduce myself. I’m Dave, a TTRPG creator. I recently released “You’re (Not) A Wizard,” my game of getting accepted to magic school- by mistake- and having to fake your way through to avoid getting caught! Think: Magic School meets The Good Place!

Burnout is clinically understood as a combo of 6 factors—work overload, lack of control, insufficient rewards, breakdown in community, absence of fairness, & value conflicts—and only a fraction of it is under your control. Burnout is a systemic problem, so be kind to yourself and hard on the system.
Hey gang I've had to learn recently that the whole "burning out" thing is real so if you find yourself being panicked every waking second that you're not working on something, despite those seconds being very rare, you should maybe listen to the signals and take an intentional break before you crash

Okay, this is right up my alley. 1) Jeeyon’s games are incredible! 2) This sounds ridiculously melancholic which is 100% my brand. 3) My chief aspiration in life is to hide away somewhere on the coast and be a lighthouse keeper.

The best venue in which I’ve ever seen a concert was a science lab. The location was hidden until the day of it was a Secret Laboratory show (on Halloween) and @mariancall.bsky.social dressed as Dee Dee from Dexter’s Lab.
Big arena shows are cool but the best venue to see a band is someone’s basement and I stand by that, second best is an illegal DIY space

Had my first session with a new therapist yesterday and I’m really excited to work with her! I’ll have to wait and see, but my initial impressions are that this is a much better match that my past couple. Yay therapy!

As someone who is disabled due to Long COVID and who has had to avoid cons that would’ve helped my business because of concerns for my health (and the health of others), I’m having trouble articulating just how upset I am by this.
