A House Judiciary Committee report shows that pardons issued during President Trump's second term have cost victims and the public at large $1.3 billion in restitution and fines
How Trump Has Exploited Pardons and Clemency to Reward Allies and Supporters
The president’s second term has brought a flood of clemency for allies and donors — as well as felons, like him, who were convicted of financial wrongdoing.

There is nothing “clean” about the Continuing Resolution that was passed tonight.

Sure, it reopens the government—but it does nothing to address the healthcare crisis that Republicans created.

when the late dennis farina played a detective on “law & order” he had a running gag where he would illegally obtain evidence by telling people “it’s ok, we’re authorized.” and now you can do the same thing but with data theft

Helpful to keep in mind that lying sack of shit Karoline Leavitt ran for Congress in 2022, and lost.

After a lawsuit against her campaign, she was forced to admit that she hid about $326,000 in undisclosed debt. Roughly 200k came from illegal contributions.

She's dirty AF, just like her boss.

It's pretty obvious by now that the old guard Christian right doesn't have the same clout and presence it did in Trump II. So if someone vents to Dreher about the high presence of groypers and Fuentes admirers, it's a sign to me they're feeling that hard. 4/x

Friends overseas: If your government is flirting with American-style healthcare, here’s what that looks like.
Anthem BC/BS came back, 10 months later, and decided that it was going to deny me and my son's rabies treatments, after already approving the claim last December.

Denying a claim where if treatment were not given, results in death 100% of the time!

"Cuomo announced half a decade ago but were never actually ordered" is great. A++ governor. Truly wonderful that 41% of this city thought he should be mayor.

There's finally have a path to double JFK AirTrain capacity with "new state-of-the-art train cars" that Cuomo announced half a decade ago but were never actually ordered.

The notoriously litigious Donald Trump has been involved in over 4,000 lawsuits. The touchy litigant has even sued a network for editing an interview of someone else. But he has NEVER sued over allegations that his was a pedophile connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Hmm.

I see the “technically it’s ephebophelia” crowd is out today, so just a reminder that A) this is NOT a case where technically correct is the best kind of correct and B) the minute you say this, the gods dump you in the “irredeemable creeper” basket and wash their hands thoroughly after touching you.
