Make sure you have your plan to vote tomorrow! I'll be going after work.
I'll be showing up on Tuesday to vote YES to retain our judges in Pennsylvania! These PA judges have been protecting our rights, and it's important to return them for another term.
No need to remember names -- every statewide judge on the ballot is good! All are recommended by the Bar Assoc.

Jonas Salk was born on this day in 1914 in New York City. He is best known for developing the first safe and effective polio vaccine, one of the most significant medical breakthroughs of the 20th century. He famously refused to patent his vaccine or seek any profit from it. /1

While Blocks, Kills, and Digs get all the attention, passing is harder to quantify but also important. @santelli.bsky.social breaks it down for Pitt #PittBS halfway through their ACC volleyball play.
NEW: Pitt Volleyball is rolling steadily into November, but there’s one stat (not usually in public view) that shows where the Panthers can step up. #PittBS

For #WorldPolioDay, @asm.org named the University of Pittsburgh a Milestones in Microbiology site to honor Dr. Jonas Salk for developing the world’s first polio vaccine. After use in the early 1950s, it reduced paralytic polio in the U.S. by 96% in only a few years.

About today’s PittVB Oppo: Louisville is 6-1 in ACC play, and 14-3 overall. They are ranked 4th in country. But like most Pitt Sunday opponents, they are coming off a loss to SMU. Louisville is a very good team. Final four caliber. But I think Pitt has more talent. So I’m thinking Pitt in 5.
