Insane fight from the US team at #RyderCup. Just sad that the crowd was so rude and disrespectful. So basic, just so very basic

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.

An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

Video obtained by my colleague Farnaz Fassihi shows how the IDF deliberately attacked, over several minutes, a convoy of ambulances and other emergency vehicles in #Gaza. #Israel wrongly claimed that the vehicles drove without emergency signals and headlights. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/04/w...
Video Shows Aid Workers Killed in Gaza Under Gunfire Barrage, With Ambulance Lights On (Gift Article)

Fascism has long seemed like a historical concept, something of the past. But I reckon it's a pretty apt description of what is going on with the Trump administration.
This is essentially how authoritarian regimes operate. “The White House has signaled that more firms are in the president’s cross hairs, particularly those that employ lawyers who have worked on investigations into Mr. Trump or on causes that his supporters object to.”

I was surprised by how ineffective the war on terror was. It failed on it's own terms. Central to this failure is the massive use of violence. Violence breeds violence and we see the same in Gaza now. When will we learn?
