I don't think Australia is immune to fascism but I do think that this joining, unjoining, mutation, hybridisation that's going on with the rightwing parties is a road to nowhere.
They need an Australian Trump. Someone who is a clean skin when it comes to politics.

America looks feeble to the rest of the world. It lets Israel lead it around by the nose. Killing negotiators in an allied country that it had invited for talks is despicable and counter productive. Israel wants this war to drag on and it does not care about consequences. Because there are none.

I wonder why most of the Western world's governments have turned on the Netanyahu government only now? Israel has behaved with the utmost contempt for Palestinian lives and international law for years. It sounds conspiratorial but I don't think we are being told the truth about this change of heart.
