No one was happier than my mom and dad after UNLV won the 1990 NCAA Men's Basketball national championship.

Had a great seat for the SEC’s last men’s basketball national champion on this night, 13 years ago. It was a Big Blue evening.

Sunlight had begun to fade, casting a shadow on the space. But the mural remained illuminated. With arms wrapped around each other, the mother and daughter made their way to the spectacle.
In awe, Whitman Richardson took in the sight.

Tonight, UNLV plays Boise State for the Mountain West championship and the right to play in the College Football Playoff. I attended Rebel games at the old Silver Bowl as a high school senior and worked games as a UNLV student. It would be awesome to have UNLV win and go to the Playoff. Go Rebels!
