This is just fabulous. They were heroes
In 1886, a couple of East End activists launched Toby, a scrappy satirical paper that bit back at power with wit and outrage. Long before social media, it gave workers a voice – and paid the price for doing so. Graham Palmer has their story ⬇️

So many of these zombie ideas for ‘dealing’ with asylum seekers keep on coming back, but still the ones that would really work - safe routes, quick processing - are too dangerous to contemplate.

I don't feel one bit sorry for her. This is the ideological route that she has chosen.
My emotions and tears will be saved for the people who are on the receiving end of their lies/ manipulation/spin.
It's her fault. I have zero fks to give about how hard it is for her
Like it or not (I don't much) Chancellor/HMT are just doing their job/what their job has always been on the welfare budget.

It's Number 10's job to stop them doing that in a way which generates a massive political/economic clusterfuck.
I do feel for her. You don't have to agree with everything she's done to think she's in a horrible position that is mostly not of her own making.

I'll never understand how people confuse how people talk with what they're actually saying.
And what's more fascinating is how many people will ignore what people do, because what they say sounds promising
We have a problem that so many people think that people (like Ben Shapiro and Brand) are smart because they talk fast and use big words. All this means is that they talk fast and use big words.
Breaking: Russell Brand has been charged with the following offences:

One count of rape
One count of indecent assault
One count of oral rape
Two counts of sexual assault

Yeah, we wouldn't want to "dilute the memory of the Holocaust with discourse on universal values," now would we?

It's actually shocking how deluded people are about disability benefits. Shocking, but to some extent understandable. This bloke was a director of communications. He knows that the lies will spread before anyone has a chance to correct them. Phillips facilitates it.
Rather than saying that this is a lie, as he must well know, Trevor Phillips semi-endorses it. Pathetic.
