This goes for writers too. We have to do what fuels us. Sometimes that’s posting about the same character or scene that we’re obsessed with, sometimes that’s getting the heck away from social media for a bit. Normalize rest and finding joy in your art 📚💙

This goes for writers too. We have to do what fuels us. Sometimes that’s posting about the same character or scene that we’re obsessed with, sometimes that’s getting the heck away from social media for a bit. Normalize rest and finding joy in your art 📚💙
I’m just a girl, sitting in front of her space heater, trying to build up the gumption to write this scene that’s been haunting me for days because it will change the entire trajectory of my draft.

If your dialogue sounds unnatural, have your characters think more and say less. We filter our thoughts a lot in conversation; characters should too.
if u see this, quote-post with your tips for writers that no one gives anymore because they seem obvious (even though they're not)
