Watching #Ambulance on BBC 1 tonight, this episode showed on one shift there was one - yes ONE - advanced paramedic on duty for an entire 12 hr shift across the WHOLE of London. 9 million people. I appreciate other ambulance crews were available, but only 1 with advanced skills!

I’ve been saying this for a long time now - the issues over attendance issues are not purely a school issue. So sad that we are not learning lessons from what has worked in the past. A great article that explains what was done previously to improve attendance.

Not that I do it for a badge and certificate- but glad I can do a small thing to help others in times of need. 🩸💉

My 14 year old son needs to do some voluntary work as part of his DofE. But all the places we’ve enquired say they only take 16yrs +. What have other people’s children done? #DofE #dukeofedinburgh

📸 No one follows more etiquette rules than the Royal Family—but notice how King Charles didn’t make any smart-ass or demeaning comments about Zelensky’s attire today.

Why? Because respect isn’t about clothes—it’s about character. And that’s something money can’t buy.

So finally govt is going to stop private companies making excessive profits from children’s social care - about time. It’s been a disgrace! www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The only issue with today’s question on @teachertapp.bsky.social was that none of the answers were relevant. Our school doesn’t allow pencil cases at all - but that wasn’t an option.

Just love @insighthq.bsky.social we’ve been using them for years but they continue to impress. Emailed yesterday to ask for a standard to be rolled out across our trust schools, and in a little over 30 minutes it was done. Impressive efficiency. Just how it should be!

So lots of things to think about with the proposed changes to how ofsted inspects. As always, the devil is in the detail. Some quick wins seem to be a change to notifying schools on a Monday, changing the wait until Wednesday lunchtime. x.com/schoolsweek/... 1/

So some are saying this is a change - but apart from a headline grade, nothing has really altered.
🗑️ Breaking: The government has scrapped single-phrase headline Ofsted grades for schools 'with immediate effect', ahead of a switch to new report cards next September
