Just your average everyday sane-psycho supergoddess. Love: words, reading, puzzles, food, bull terriers, offbeat humor, sarcasm. Hate: cilantro, mushrooms, bullshit.
@LibbyApp for the love of God: Let me adjust screen brightness inside the app. No other e-reader app makes me exit the app, open device settings, adjust the brightness, and then return to the app. (Love everything else about Libby.)

Can't make it to Athens for this awesome FREE event? Thanks to the Revada Foundation and the Tyler Weymouth Endowment, you can watch a livestream on Friday or check out the recording anytime from The Post's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@thepostathensTV)

This is the first thing that popped up when I opened this app: An ad for a far-right “news outlet.” This, y’all, is why @AthensIndy won’t be posting new content on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Potentially cancellable take: S’mores are overrated.

If you’re reading/hearing about Caden Cox’s lawsuit against Hocking College in the national media, props belong to @sheridan120 and @DispatchAlerts for breaking the story.

Billionaires are not going to save local news. The only way to restore local news is for *local people* to own, staff and fund it. (Billionaires, give 💰💰 to ⁦@NewsMatch⁩ to support matching 💰 for independent nonprofit newsrooms!) ...

@AthensIndy has hit the big time: The international anti-trans crowd is piling on yesterday’s editorial on hate speech. 😂😂😂

There’s a special place in Hell for whoever is responsible for everything after episode 4 of #CarnivalRow. I’d rather the series had simply ended, leaving us hanging, than tie up all the plot lines with this ham-handed, nonsensical BS.

One year ago Saturday, I was fired by @PublishingAdams for warning readers about scam ads. Today, @AthensIndy was accepted in Stage 2 of @IndiegrafMedia's News Startup Fund. Mom was right: Living well is the best revenge. 🎊🎇🥳🎆

@NYTGames will stop publishing digital versions of acrostic puzzles on March 1. Bastards.

The other day my son told me I was developing anger issues. I'm a middle-aged woman starting up a nonprofit newsroom in Appalachia. *Of course* I have anger issues.

Thanks to Athens Sunrise Rotary for having me speak at their meeting this morning. Always happy to talk about @AthensIndy and the importance of independent local news! (Free coffee at 7 a.m. is awesome too. 😀)

Possibly cancellable take on gas stoves: Instead of phasing out gas stoves, _maybe_ we could try requiring manufacturers to make safer stoves (and make/enforce building codes requiring properly functioning exhaust hoods). Just a thought. #Sarcasm

Y’all keep asking why no one reported on George Santos earlier. A local outlet, the North Shore Leader, DID. It’s the big players who blew it off until after the election. #LocalNews https://www.theleaderonline.com/single-post/santos-filings-now-claim-net-worth-of-11-million

A good start! Now, extend the Chillicothe line to Portsmouth and the Athens line to Parkersburg so people in southeast Ohio can travel somewhere other than the three Cs. Maybe a scenic line upriver to Steubenville too? (❤️ ‘Yinzer Express’ 🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻)

Pet peeve: Authors who set their novels in towns that actually exist yet have the geography and other details wrong. The intersection of fiction and reality is distracting. And it just seems kinda lazy.
