A caution to indie comic makers: when going to conventions, don't be hateful to fans who say "I'm an X/Y shipper" when you actually put that ship into your comic AS A CANONICALLY TEASED SHIP. I stopped reading Sluggy Freelance that day in 2011; never went back. Fans are your support not your enemy

I can't go to the protests today for various reasons. I hope things don't get violent at them. But I suspect a number of protests, particularly the ones in larger cities, are going to get ugly in terms of conflict with police, ICE, etc. Please be safe out there, and I hope it makes a difference. 🤞🤞

The problem with watching literally anything the news media, including people like Jon Stewart, have to say is that they expect me to sit through endless Trump clips before they say it. I'm sorry, but that's simply not going to happen. I will not willingly let that man into my brain. Move along....

I set sixteen pavers today. For tomorrow and the next few days, I daresay I'm going to hurt like I've been beaten with a baseball bat. But that's sixteen pavers that weren't laid when I got up this morning, and I used up all the old ones. Next time I go out, I'm going to buy a load of 20.

I may be getting old, and I may be somewhat disabled, but I am going to dig up the dirt and lay myself a new backyard path and patio with these pavers, one or two at a time, if it FUCKING KILLS ME. None of the ones in the picture were there when I started....

Losing access to the Blue Ridge Parkway has been like losing a limb. I've started thinking of it in terms of a beautiful dreamland I used to be able to visit that now I can never fall asleep and return to. Now I'm stuck in this ugly fascist nightmare reality hellscape, and beauty is a fading memory.

Now that NOAA is under the hatchet I've learned that if you listen to cardinal birds' singing; they forecast the weather. "Purdy-purdy-purdy" = sunshine and "wet-wet-wet" = rain. Who knew we didn't need modern weather forecasting technology because I didn't. NO REALLY
