🌠 The best icon pack in the world right now, IMO, is Lucide (lucide.dev).

It builds on @colebemis.com’s incredible work with Feather Icons, extending it from ~300 icons to >1500.

It has fully-typed bindings for React and many other frameworks. And I just found out: they’re even more optimized! 🧵

I forgot what it was like to have a feed focused on tech things I actually care about again 🙏

So I think React Server Components are super cool! Obviously it just uses a Node server but with Expo, I'm very confused. In that talk @bacon.bsky.social did on it, that looked so dope! But where was the server? Is it running on device in the background or using an external server? Feel so dumb 😳😅

I know I talk a lot about JS and React Native, more specifically Expo but 8/10 in my day job we're still using php, and Laracasts.com have a black Friday sale on at the moment and honestly I couldn't recommend it enough! Been paying for it on and off for years! - now a lifer.

The @expo.dev docs are normally great! I love the fact they have a little "new" tag next to things that are either brand new or have just been updated.

I would REALLY like to see what's new on a page has been updated though. I have no clue just by looking what it is that's new in the Router page 😅

What is actually super nice about this app, is something that shouldn't be a worry. When I click into the replies of a post, all the replies are related to the post. THANK GOD 👏

Okay now RSC is in Expo Router, or coming to it. I really need to learn how the hell that works and what's going on there 😅

I really wish people would stop using AI in demos and tutorials. It really put me off from watching the video or reading the article. Anything AI still makes my eyes roll I can't lie

In the age of AI, short form video and hot takes, the competitive advantage of the future is the ability to go deep, read the docs, build something new, learn hard things that take time.
