Josh Simmons: A-
ONL: C
Ashton Gillotte: B
Nohl Williams: B+
Jalen Royals: A
Jeffrey Bassa: B
Brashard Smith: A

Overall draft: B+

Left some meat in the bone on Day 2 a bit and didn’t love trading Chicago’s 4th away.

However, the players are sick. Great draft.

can't believe the Chiefs lost their WR1 what is Veach doing

Leremy Tunsil trade through the Chiefs' perspective: yeah, what Sam said.

KC's Jaylon Moore deal is NOT Dan Moore money, but if they were in on Ronnie Stanley, you'd think they would've called about Tunsil too.
I'm sure he'll want a new contract, and they had to give up a basically a net 2nd and 3rd to get him, but Washington currently has one of the best pass blocking LTs in the game on 2 years of Dan Moore Jr. money lol

(i don't hate this)

They need to attack iOL with the fury of 1000 Suns though.
The Seahawks have their new QB: It’s Sam Darnold.

The former Vikings starter is finalizing a deal with Seattle, per The Insiders. He gets a 3-years deal worth nearly $100M, taking the place of Geno Smith.

Darnold has been the favorite ever since the trade.

Very curious how "basically a one year deal" this two year deal is.

I know that's the verbiage beign run with in reporting, but getting up to $20m guaranteed on a $30m deal usually leaves quite a lot dead money in year two, which the Chiefs try to avoid at all costs.

Dan Moore getting more than Ronnie Stanley shows the power of actually hitting the open market. If you can get a guy signed before the deadline, do it.

Retaining your own players is cheaper than shopping for new ones.

alright these teams are just fucking bored man
A big one per @tompelissero.bsky.social: The Patriots are signing Carlton Davis, who gets a 3-year, $60M deal with $34.5M fully guaranteed.

Dan Moore making more than Ronnie Stanley is not something I was ready to see from this free-agent class
March 10, 2025 at 5:04 PM
yeah uh well, no good options was right!

dan moore jr got more money than ronnie stanley
Former Steelers OT Dan Moore II gets a MASSIVE payday from the Tennessee Titans, per Schefter -- four years, $82 million, 50 guaranteed. Record-setting deal for a tackle.

The Chiefs going "we are never going to try and get LT in the draft" (per Nate Taylor) is an insane thought process. Completely unserious.

I hope it is just a 2025 draft thing and not a long term "never try and develop a LT again" thing.
March 10, 2025 at 4:51 PM
What are the odds the Chiefs are in the exact same spot next year at LT even with Moore? 40%? Higher?
March 10, 2025 at 4:43 PM
if we are signing 49ers cast offs might as well bring back Charv Ward.
March 10, 2025 at 4:38 PM
javon kinlaw got what now
Sources: DT Javon Kinlaw to the Commanders, as he gets a 3 year, $45M deal with $30M guaranteed.
March 10, 2025 at 4:34 PM
would have written this check myself. sigh.
BJ Hill back to the Bengals for 3-years, $33M per Schefty.

He deserves it and this does not preclude them from getting deals done with Chase & Higgins done but I can only imagine the reaction of Bengals fans when these non-WR extensions get reported.
March 10, 2025 at 4:30 PM
this one is a bit fun, I'd imagine the Chiefs still draft a RB if this is the only signing
RB Elijah Mitchell to the Kansas City Chiefs on a 1-year deal (Schefter)
March 10, 2025 at 4:29 PM
i'll even follow this up and say I'd definitely still draft Conerly Jr, Simmons, or Jackson still unless the value was insane at another postion.
i don't know if this would stop me from taking a LT at 31.
March 10, 2025 at 4:25 PM
their type at LT is hilarious man
I have watched Jaylon Moore a couple times in the last month.

He hasn't played much over his rookie contract, but stepped in down the stretch for the Niners.

Can displace in the run game, decent anchor. Foot quickness is below average and can get beat up the arc.
Left tackle Jaylon Moore to the Kansas City Chiefs on a two-year deal, per Adam Schefter on ESPN
March 10, 2025 at 4:16 PM
422 total passing snaps in 4 years. Goddamn.
I did not have Jaylon Moore in my top 100 free agents, but tackle thinned out quickly with re-signings.

Here's his passing blown block rates from @sportsinfosolutions.com
March 10, 2025 at 4:15 PM
$21m fully guaranteed. Woof.

Probably some sort of cutable next year but not without some dead cap at that price.
The #Chiefs begin their O-Line upgrade, locking in former Niners OT Jaylon Moore to a 2 year, $30M contract that includes $21.24M fully guaranteed.

Moore just completed a 4 year, $3.8M rookie deal in SF.
