Something beautiful every day...

Even dogs are full of wonder! Ladybug stopped playing to gaze at the floating leaves when strong winds lifted and swirled them.

I love tree roots. They remind me to stay rooted in all that gives me life. Especially these days. ancestors. I learned that giant sequoia trees have relatively shallow roots. They stand firm through storms because their roots are so intertwined. They hold each other up. Lovely metaphor for humans!

Gah, the news is so bad these days esp the written stories about detention and deportation cruelties. Detain and deport if you must but be humane about it!

So, something beautiful this day. (1)

Caught a rare pic of a male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at our peanut feeder. He must have needed a break from drilling holes in my lilac tree.

Tomorrow, February 28, let’s disrupt the status quo by spending ONLY at businesses that uplift our communities.

That means:
🚫 No gas from corporate giants
🚫 No fast food chains
🚫 No big-box retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)
