Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later.

I guess "regime change" in California was not enough.

Hopefully, he will learn the reason why we support the rule of law in this country and not the rule of men.

All the apps I work with now have some sort of AI assistant that displays starburst icons. They remind me of the swirling stars from classic cartoons where the characters hit their head and get stunned and dazed.

During this period of Lent, we learn from the Gospels about supposedly devout and godly people who had an anti-Christian bias.
“The Trump administration has ordered State Department employees to report on any instances of coworkers displaying ‘anti-Christian bias’ as part of its effort to implement a sweeping new order on supporting employees of Christian faith.”
State tells employees to report on one another for ‘anti-Christian bias’
“It’s very ‘Handmaid’s Tale’-esque,” one official said.

The patient came back from the dead after being killed. His best day since he was born.
The S&P 500 surged 9.5% — its best day since October 2008 — after President Trump backed down on his “reciprocal” tariffs for 90 days. Economists warned that American importers were not out of danger.

Last week, I noticed the check engine light turned on for the economy. This week, the air bags deployed. Should I be concerned?

Which DEI hire caused this?
“A sharp rise in trade-war intensity sent Wall Street spiraling Friday, pushing the Nasdaq into a bear market denoting a 20% decline from its peak. … The marketwide toll from the two-day tariff rout surged to a record $6.4 trillion.”

I have worked in the technology industry for decades, and it is the liberal and open institutions, not singular "smart men" operating in a vacuum, that propel innovation.

I graduated valedictorian of Alice High School in 1981. The people of South Texas, poor, majority Hispanic, are the most America loving and hardest working people you will ever meet. This memo from my alma mater breaks my heart. I pray for the protection from the wrath of an ungodly ruler.
This is evil. Pure evil.

The best transportation plan is a great land-use plan. But too many cities still let flawed traffic modelling actually prevent smarter land-use decisions, resulting in what I call the “sweet spot of failure” — enough density to cause all those local traffic problems, but never enough to solve them.

Good luck running as an unaffiliated candidate. I say this, knocking on a lot of doors trying to get an independent elected to the Colorado legislature. The electorate is too polarized to elect someone unaligned with a party orthodoxy. And that is part of the problem.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.
