David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

The U.S. says it conducted airstrikes against over 75 ISIS targets in central Syria, using B-52s, F-15s, and A-10s, as part of an ongoing mission to “disrupt, degrade, and defeat ISIS” and prevent the group from “reconstituting” or “conducting external operations.”

this is a good point & shows that Elon completely undermines his desire for democratized "citizen journalism" by suppressing external links to Substack. What Elon wants is an all-inclusive environment on X where ppl never have to leave his platform. That's not principle; that's revenue maximization

don't wish Kamala any major ill will in saying this, but if she decides to go through with this I think it'll actually be a fascinating display of how party & media subordinates choose to reorient themselves. Do they prop up proven losers or bolster status quo antagonists? Odds are on the former
