Despite promising that Windows 10 would be the "last version" Mr. Microsoft has killed the OS updates from today. Forcing millions to consider their options. Ive enrolled in the 1 year extension while I consider next steps. My hardware is not W11 Compliant. #Microsoft #Windows10

This, it seems, is what the BBC had in mind when it drew up plans in March to alter “story selection” to win over Reform voters.
For 56 minutes Sky News and BBC News interrupted everything else and carried a Reform UK feed live, uninterrupted, unchallenged. The stream spluttered, froze, pixelated - dozens of times - still they stuck with it. FOR ONE HOUR.

This is an editorial choice. No other party gets this coverage. ~AA

Illinois State Senator Karina Villa sprang into action to protect her community from ICE raids, alerting neighbors to their rights and chasing off masked agents. This is how you stand up to authoritarianism. We should all be inspired by Sen. Villa's courage.

Apparently the SNP rhetoric is putting in danger right wing politicians and commentators. This is a good demonstration of how hypocritical Tories are.

The BBC are very selective with the headlines & News.
Institutionally corrupt funded by the public while not serving the same public, a long standing disgrace. #defundtheBBC #BBC
A US State Senator and his wife were murdered in June and I don’t remember a live rolling news programme on the BBC?

Kirk was a civilian and an activist.

The overall takeaway from the Epstein survivors’ press conference is that they are united and are no longer going to allow rich and powerful men to victimize, silence and intimidate them.

Including the ones in Congress and the perp in the Oval Office.

What Farage’s British Bill of Rights really means for your freedoms

youtu.be/E40AXGZ2Nrc?...

Nigel Farage says he wants to replace the UK Human Rights Act with a so-called “British Bill of Rights.”

But let’s be clear: this is not about protecting freedoms. It’s about removing them.

This approach is what Scotland needs to encourage when dealing with Westminster and the broken UK political system. We will not restore our #Scottishindependence by Complaining abut the #SNP and perpetuating the old divisions it simply won't do it. #peoplepower
Living a moral life in an age of bullies requires collective action; it cannot be done alone. Each of us must organize and participate in a vast network of moral resistance. From this solidarity we will grow stronger. This is what our current moment requires.

The thing that surprises me is that people are surprised. the #BBC has been a problem far too long, needs to be defunded to a subscription service without delay.
I posted this 20 months ago in an unmentionable place. It has become no less true.

If someone tells you there's nothing we can do about gun violence beyond thoughts and prayers, remind them:

—Gun laws in other countries have prevented mass shootings
—More guns don't make us safer
—A majority of Americans want gun reform

We don't have to live like this.

What happens when politics dies in August? A flight of leaders to Washington that achieved nothing. Trump was flattered. Zelensky was patronised. And the rest? Ditherers. This is what neoliberalism has delivered us – a politics of paralysis.

It's performative. If Steve Reed were really "furious" about water bills, he wouldn't have ruled out renationalisation, or forbidden the Independent Water Commission to recommend it. He enables the filthiest, most parasitic capital to defeat the public interest.
