The poorest use food banks, many of whom are gainfully employed. Whilst the wealthiest, become even richer. A clear indicator of a transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich.

Is it worth a few minutes to make the platform stronger ?

The easiest solution to bots is just to ignore or block them.

They get everywhere and they will get even worse as AI advances.

I get the pushback to Bluesky in that it further bifurcates our media ecosystem. But at this point, Twitter’s content moderation is so nonexistent and its verified users so extreme that the choice becomes either move away from Twitter or be subjected to straight up 4chan nazi bile on a daily basis.

Yes misinformation is a serious problem on social media and is getting worst…..
Starmer has turned up to the info war with legislation from the days of the Commodore and a copy of Encarta 95. We need stringent disinformation legislation, not an op-ed in the Mail, a rag that radicalises idiots and is littered with so many inaccuracies that Microsoft flags it as fake news.

Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.
