The decomposition dynamics of 3 important #kelp species in the Northeast Atlantic with focus on the loss of dissolved carbon. We found that DOC is released in large amounts initially, providing valuable data around the complex processes involved in #carbon cycling of kelps.

Do you want to or need to know how much organic carbon (OC) accumulates in Great British saltmarshes.

New research has quantified that all GB saltmarshes accumulate 46563 ± 4353 tonnes of OC annually.

Looking forward to answering some of the big questions around the carbon risks associated with anthropogenic disturbance of marine sediments with such a diverse team.
I'm very happy to hear yesterday that our NERC Highlight Topic proposal on "Impacts of bottom trawling on seabed carbon storage" is going to be funded!

It's been a long process from writing the HT idea over a year ago and the proposal this spring.
