Professor Julia Sinclair has joined other experts in calling for a UK strategy to tackle alcohol-related harm.

Figures show that alcohol-specific deaths rose by 42 per cent from 2019 to 2023.

Our health technology researchers with Nottingham Trent University and NIHR Southampton BRC have developed a wearable sensor to accurately monitor and detect changes in breathing.

They hope it can give an early warning of declining patient health.
