and part of that was continually looking up at the people i love who were also reading and then reading them a passage like “listen to how beautiful this is”
sitting in a cabin in the mountains, reading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein as the wind swirled and leaves fell from the trees, was optimal.

“weekends” don’t recover or refresh me anymore. i think it’s because writing / working on poetry so much on those days was what did the trick. anyway another week at the museum begins….

it is so bleak that 90% of work emails are guards emailing asking for someone to cover a shift because the museum said they can’t take it off so they can go to their grandma’s funeral
