I don't relish being the bearer of bad news, but those saying Trump cannot realize his desire to send US citizens to Salvadoran prisons are wrong. There's not only a legal way to do it, but the plan has been pitched to him and he's already on board with it. It's explained here:

If DOGE halts Social Security and Veterans Disability payments they will cause immense and undue hardship on millions of vulnerable Americans. There will be hunger and homelessness that will force the states into emergency action that will be unsustainable.

While we're screaming about Musk tearing apart entire US agencies, prisoners are quietly being flown to Gitmo. We are so distracted by the onslaught to our government, the concentration camp is sliding under the radar without any oversight whatsoever.

I have mesothelioma, an aggressive and incurable cancer. That really pisses me off since I likely won't live long enough to see our country returned to the people. On the bright side, I won't have to suffer through years of repression and authoritarianism.

If we revolt against this coup en masse, Trump will invoke the Insurrection Act, declare martial law and order the military to put down any protests or attempts to overthrow the WH. Our only hope is for military leadership to refuse to act and I wouldn't bet against that.

Where are the defenders of the US as Elon and nameless private agents infiltrate US agencies, commandeer US servers, steal US data, seize US money, march US officials from US buildings? Who sallies forth from the FBI? The CIA? Congress? DoD? The media? This is a coup—and America appears defenseless.
