I had a great encounter with one of our professors today. She asked me how I’m doing and then added that she’s always happy to see me because she remembers my entry exam at the film school where she was in the committee and wanted me to get in. She said I belong here and it made me tear up a lil 🥲

When I was at the German premiere of Sound Of Falling, the director said we should feel what’s happening before we try to understand it. That’s a phrase we should often keep in mind when starting a film or series.

Twin Peaks is so weird (in a good way). We need more stuff like that, but I fear if others dropped something similar nobody would love it cuz it’s not David Lynch.

Film festival organisation is always so chaotic. I hope I will manage to watch maybe around 40 films this year. Usually I watch more but I know I’ll struggle with it this year.
