I think there is a good chance the shutdown is still going by Thanksgiving, and that the resultant travel chaos will create enough pressure that the administration will cave on actual concessions before Christmas.

Today, I voted in support of a resolution that would force Trump to get congressional approval before using military force against Venezuela.

Senate Republicans blocked it—ceding their constitutional authority to Trump.

Once again, they bent the knee to a wanna-be king.

One of the most chilling things about this story is that some did not even know it was ICE.
They thought it was “an attack on the school” i.e. a school shooter.
Think on that for a minute.
“They didn’t just walk in chasing one person, they went into multiple rooms asking and looking for teachers while children were present,” Ramirez said. “This is an agency that has gone rogue and it an agency that believes that as long as they can cover their face, they can get away with anything.”
Families "horrified" after daycare teacher pulled out of school by federal agents.
The incident happened in front of parents and children at Rayito de Sol in North Center, a parent said. They believe the employee, who cares for infants, is legally allowed to work in the United State...

While there are 42M on SNAP that we know of, but I believe the number of food insecure is much higher. Those who qualify, but are afraid of being stigmatized for using the help their tax dollars paid into. For decades, the GOP has pushed, that to be a ‘good American’ you have to suffer…YOU DON’T!!!

Mockler: The way that Donald Trump speaks about the democratic party, the way that Donald Trump speaks about people who disagree with him, has normalized his extremist rhetoric. He said that we were gnats who need to be taken care of in front of the military.
